The Price I pay for my blessings.

Let me just say this first... I know that Cameron and I are SO blessed. Some many times over the past 4 year we have truly been a part of miracles.

That being said I need to vent a little....

Every personal and family prayer that's said in our home almost always includes asking for Cameron to have enough work to support our needs. The sad part about that is that like doctors,
Cameron having work is usually because of someone else's miss fortune. Cameron does the cosmetic aspect of collision repair. So every time we have bad weather that usually means a good paycheck. We have been looking forward to our first winter here in Utah because the snow brings in lots of work and usually bonuses for working extra hours. I am so grateful for how hard Cameron works. Some weeks he goes in at 5 or 6am and doesn't get home to 8 or 9pm. He knows how important it is for me to be home with Jake and how much I WANT to be home with him. He will do whatever it takes to support his family. Good men like him are hard to find.

I should have stayed home today....

Last thursday I left my cell phone at my sister in laws house and this morning I finally found time (around 11am)to drive the 20 minutes to go pick it up. My sister in law is out of town but I knew that her mother in law would be there with the kids. So I get Jake loaded up in the car and start down the very LONG hill. I get to the first gas station I can find because I'm past empty! I dig through my diaper bad to realize that I left my wallet at home after switching diapers bags!! UGH, I drive home praying I don't run out of gas because I don't have my CELL PHONE!! I make it home and back to the gas station ok and head to my sister in laws. When I get there there are plenty of lights on, reasuring my that someone is home... No one answers. Pooh! I drive to walgreens to use the pay phone to call Cameron to see if he knows there garage code but I don't have change so I buy a bag of chocolates and a bottle of water and get cash back and some quaters and try the pay phone but it doesn't work so I drive to the grocery store to use that pay phone but it doesn't work either (maybe I just don't know how to use them but I read the directions!!) So I decide to drive back to my sis in laws and give it another shot... No answer but I really want my phone back so luckly the alarm wasn't set and the back door was open! I GOT MY PHONE YAY !! So I figure while I'm close I will go grocery shopping before heading home. yada yada.... (1:30ish pm)So its been kinda raining all day (do you know where I'm going with this?...) I get on I-15 and I really am driving safe, I'm not doing any of the normal distracting things that could cause an accident. I look over and this old guy in a white suv starts coming into my lane... not just "oh he almost got me there" but more like "HOLY CRAP he is going to hit me!!!" So I honk and instintually swirv out of the way... bad idea... I hit another car and as I look in the rear view mirrow I see her spining across traffic 4 or 5 times and finally crash into the median! AHHHH I pull over in tears and see that the old man that started this didn't bother to pull over!!! I'm crying and mad, calling 911! I walk over to the other car (still crying) to make sure the other drivin is ok, she is but very very shaken! Camerons shows up a little later and is actaully alot calmer than I thought he would be.

In the end Cam gives the tow truck the name and number of the shop and now has some work to keep him busy for the next few days, along with fixing the nasty dent in our truck!! I guess my
prayers were answered!

UPDATE: When I took my truck to cam's work for an estimate they noticed a scrap on the front of my truck..... So the old guy DID hit me!!! Dirty Sucker, doesn't he know its illegal to do a hit and run!

I'm sorry that happened. I'm glad you guys were not hurt. Next time leave it up to the other people to give Cam more work. Just kidding! Things like that sometimes can not be avoided.
